This Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) forms part of the Modulr Terms of Service. It applies to the use of Modulr in Discord servers, website/account features, Premium, connected integrations and Modulr support.
1. General rule
Use Modulr lawfully, responsibly and in a way that complies with Discord's applicable rules and the rights of other people.
You must not use Modulr to create, promote, organise, facilitate or conceal prohibited activity.
2. NSFW and sexually explicit content
Modulr must not be used in a Discord server that explicitly permits or is operated around pornographic, sexually explicit or prohibited NSFW content.
You must not configure Modulr features to publish, promote, organise, facilitate or expressly permit pornographic or sexually explicit content.
An age-restricted Discord channel is not, by itself, the sole factor NDev Studios uses to decide whether a server violates this rule. The actual content, stated server rules and way Modulr is being used are relevant. However, a server that expressly allows sexual/NSFW content is not eligible to use Modulr.
Sexual exploitation, child sexual abuse material, grooming and non-consensual sexual content are strictly prohibited and may lead to immediate restriction and reporting where required.
3. Hate, abuse, harassment and harmful content
You must not use Modulr to facilitate or promote:
- racism or hateful conduct targeting protected characteristics;
- serious harassment, bullying or targeted abuse;
- threats or encouragement of violence;
- doxxing or malicious disclosure of private information;
- graphic abusive content intended to shock, threaten or harass;
- exploitation or coercion;
- encouragement of self-harm or other seriously harmful conduct where prohibited by law or Discord policy.
4. Fraud, phishing, malware and credential theft
You must not use Modulr for scams, fraud, phishing, malware, credential theft, stolen accounts, malicious downloads, fraudulent payments or deceptive schemes.
Do not configure Modulr messages, buttons, forms, ticket systems or social notifications to trick users into supplying passwords, Discord tokens, payment credentials, API keys or other sensitive secrets.
5. Spam, raids and platform abuse
You must not use Modulr to organise or facilitate raids, mass unsolicited messaging, abusive spam, disruptive automation, ban/evasion schemes or other behaviour intended to damage another server, user, platform or service.
6. Illegal and exploitative activity
You must not use Modulr for activity that is illegal in the relevant jurisdiction, infringes third-party rights, exploits vulnerable people, facilitates trafficking or exploitation, or otherwise creates a serious legal or safety risk.
7. Impersonation and misleading use
You must not use Modulr to impersonate NDev Studios, Modulr staff, Discord, another business, another person or another organisation in a deceptive manner.
You must not configure fake notices, support messages, payment requests, moderation notices or other content intended to mislead users about who sent the message or what action is genuinely required.
8. Attacks, reverse engineering and bypassing restrictions
You must not attempt to:
- attack, overload, disrupt or damage Modulr systems;
- exploit vulnerabilities without authorisation;
- bypass access controls, Premium restrictions, server-slot rules, rate limits, entitlement checks or security controls;
- probe or access private/internal APIs or infrastructure without permission;
- introduce malware or destructive code;
- reverse engineer private Modulr systems except to the extent a legal right expressly prevents this restriction; or
- use automation intended to evade restrictions or enforcement.
Security researchers should report vulnerabilities privately to [email protected].
9. User-supplied links, files and content
Users and server administrators are responsible for links, files, text, forms, embeds, media and other content they instruct Modulr to publish or process.
NDev Studios may restrict or remove harmful use when it becomes aware of it, but does not automatically endorse or verify user-supplied content merely because Modulr transmitted or displayed it.
10. Server-owner responsibility
Server owners and administrators are responsible for configuring Modulr appropriately and for deciding which staff members are allowed to use administrative features.
A server owner should not knowingly configure Modulr in a way that enables prohibited use or deliberately ignore serious misuse by authorised staff.
11. Enforcement
NDev Studios may respond to violations proportionately. Depending on severity and confidence, actions may include warnings, disabling functionality, restricting website/account access, removing Premium assignment from a server, forcing Modulr to leave a server, blocking reinstallation or applying a user/server blacklist.
Serious security threats, exploitation, fraud or clearly prohibited server use may result in immediate action without advance warning where waiting would create additional risk.
NDev Studios may preserve relevant evidence for investigation and enforcement subject to the Privacy Policy.
12. Appeals
A user or server owner may appeal a restriction through official Modulr support.
Appeals are reviewed individually. A restriction is not guaranteed to be removed, and severe blacklist reasons may be upheld permanently where NDev Studios believes continued access would create unacceptable risk.
13. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated as Modulr develops, new abuse patterns emerge, Discord changes its platform rules, or applicable legal requirements change.
Material changes may be announced through the Modulr website, Modulr HQ or another reasonable channel.
